Is a retired law enforcement officer and holds a Master’s degree in the Administration of Justice. During his service he held the roles of patrolman, detective, FTO officer, and was an active member of a dive & rescue team. After experiencing and witnessing the mental and physical strain the career takes on those committed to the profession. Joe re-directed his passion for helping others towards ensuring the health and well-being of all first responders. Joe now serves as the First Responder Liaison at Crossroads Health and is dedicated to providing the best mental health and wellness services to all those on the frontline.
Julie Kalina-Hammond
Julie A. Kalina-Hammond LISW- S, licensed independent social worker, with supervision designation. Julie is also the Director of Forensic Services at Crossroads Health. This position includes serving as the Treatment Manager for the Mentor Municipal Mental Health Court for Lake County, manager of the mental health services in the Lake County Jail, CIT Coordinator for Lake County and manager of Lake County First Responder Wellness Program. She is one of the founders of Community Alliance of Law Enforcement and Mental Health Systems (CALMHS) Committee. She is a Certified Forensic Social Worker and Certified First Responder Counselor. Julie received the 2014 Woman of Achievement award from Lakeland Community College’s Women’s Center in. In 2007 she received the Ohio Forensic Leadership Award. In 2003 she received the NAMI Lake County Coordinator’s Leadership Award. Julie has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from The Ohio State University and a Master of Social Science Administration from Case Western Reserve University. Julie is also Adjunct Faculty at Youngstown State University. She is a associate member of Lake County Association of Police Chiefs, NAMI and a NASW member. Julie is also a certified Peer Support Counselor.
